Hong Kong Travel Story from Ricardo Mendoza

I recently shared my travel experience to Macau, and in this article, I will be sharing my travel story to Hong Kong.
My journey to Hong Kong was a few months after my trip to Macau, and even though it was a very short journey, there’s so much to say about my time in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is a beautiful city, and for me, the first place to start my tour was the Ngong Ping 360. This is a popular place in Hong Kong, and it is widely known for the spiritual insight into Hong Kong’s history it offers. Also, Ngong Ping is home to the Tian Tian Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, and Tung Chung village. These places are perfect for hiking, meditating, and other casual events.
The next place I visited is Victoria Harbour, which is one of the most attractive harbors in the world today. Here, you can simultaneously see the skyline of Hong Kong’s islands. It was already evening when I visited this place, and it made it easier for me to witness the beautiful sunset of the city. Victoria Harbour was an exciting place for me. However, it was night, and I decided to call it a day and continue the following day.
At the light of day, I continued my tour, and this time, my destination as the Peak Tram, which is a must-visit place in Hong Kong. Here, you’d go as high as 396 mt, almost reaching Victoria Peak, and at the top, you can get to experience the marvel of the most intriguing skylines in the world. There are a few trails around the peak, which is great for people who like to be surrounded by lush greenery. Also, Peak Tram has so many restaurants, of which I visited one to grab a meal.
There are so many beautiful cities in China, and even though I’ve heard so much about Hong Kong, my visit to the city made me appreciate its beauty even better. Another place I visited is Sky 100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, which is the largest building in the city. Here, I was able to get a panoramic view of the city. One thing I like about this observation deck is the advanced telescopes with which you can experience views of the city at different times of the day.
Hong Kong is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular places in the world. The beauty of this city is more at night, where you can enjoy the symphony of lights emanating from the city. The Symphony of Lights is a dazzling laser show that is mainly set up at night, and this is also regarded as the largest permanent light in the world.
I also got to witness the sound show and daily light at the Aqua Spirit Bar, which is a rooftop bar on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbour. What’s certain is that I’d visit this destination again the next time I’m in Hong Kong.
If you are like to eat spicy noodles, then you might want to visit the Temple Street Night Market, which is also on Kowloon. The noodles I had at one of the street-side restaurants are the best I’ve had in a while. You might want to check it out too. Also, there are so many vendors in this market, and you can be sure of getting anything you are looking for. Whether it’s a purse, a wristwatch, or a DVD, you can be sure of getting it from one of the vendors.
My trip to Hong Kong wouldn’t be complete without talking about the available casinos to gamble. Even though gambling in Hong Kong isn’t legal, there are a vast array of casinos where you can play your favorite games and make money. However, most of these casinos are on a cruise, and they only open as soon as the cruise is on international waters. My last visit before leaving Hong Kong was to the Celebrity Millennium Cruise, which is very popular throughout the city. As a gambling enthusiast, I find this place really fascinating, especially the offers and varying games available.
There are so many other places I would have loved to visit in Hong Kong, but it was a short trip, and I had to leave after three days.
